Position Description:
As a Job Captain/Project Designer, you will play an essential role in supporting our Project Managers (PM) in preparing graphics, meeting materials, client specifications, and landscape construction documents/packages. You will manage projects, supervise drafting personnel, and ensure timely and high-quality project completion. This is a fantastic opportunity to showcase your design and project management skills while working in a collaborative environment.
Experience Required:
- A minimum of 2 years of experience with a landscape architectural firm.
- Proficiency in the latest version of AutoCAD.
- A license to practice landscape architecture is desirable, with preference for those licensed in California.
- Knowledge of Northern California plant materials, irrigation, grading, drainage, materials, and construction is essential.
- Proven experience in project and personnel management, client relations, and presentations.
Education:
Degree from a nationally accredited institution in landscape architecture, civil engineering, architecture, or a related field.

Qualifications:
We seek candidates with solid design abilities, hand graphics, rendering skills, and the ability to multitask. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, are a must. Knowledge of California plant material and irrigation design, coupled with AutoCAD proficiency, will make you an ideal candidate.

This is a full-time, hourly non-exempt position following a successful three-month orientation period. The starting annual salary is dependent upon experience.
